Key Responsibilities

Project Management

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. This includes scheduling and organizing workers tasks and materials, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget by managing daily operations such as equipment maintenance and labor scheduling. Additionally, the Contracts Manager will work together with the SHEQ Manager in developing and enforcing safety standards, policies, and procedures for site activities.

Commercial Engagement

The Contracts Manager will ensure the correct commercial engagement of subcontractors (rates, contract agreement). They will also complete and distribute the contract initiation/completion certificate for each project. Furthermore, the Contracts Manager will ensure weekly review of progress, and budget resources, and forward the planning to the Operations Director Chair and attend internal and external meetings and ensure the production of accurate records of any discussion and actions.

Requirements

* Minimum of 8 years experience as a contracts manager in the civil engineering industry

Qualifications

* Ndip/BTech/BSc in civil engineering

Registration

* Registered with ECSA as a Professional Civil Engineer, Technologist, or Technician

or registered with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Project Manager or Professional Construction Manager
