About the Job

  • This role involves providing professional and engaging wellness therapies and massage treatments to guests.
  • The successful candidate must have hands-on experience in massage techniques, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and face/body therapies.
  • A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and different massage techniques is essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent professional massage, body treatments, and wellness therapies in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Inform and educate guests about specific wellness concerns.
  • Perform massage, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and face/body therapies to guests.
  • Maintain detailed records of massages, treatments, and therapies performed on each spa guest.
  • Communicate with guests during massages to adjust massage techniques as required.
  • Resolving guest complaints professionally and courteously and reporting any accidents/incidents to the Lodge Manager.
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic treatment environment, adhering to safety standards, and upholding excellent customer service practices.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Somatology or equivalent.
  • Driver's license.
  • First Aid certificate is advantageous.
  • Minimum 4 years experience as a Spa Therapist.
  • Hands-on experience in massage techniques, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and face/body therapies.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and different massage techniques.
  • Show enthusiasm and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
