Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the debtors team to ensure efficient and effective management of customer accounts.
- Manage the credit and collections function to minimize bad debt and optimize cash flow.
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Provide leadership and training to the team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Work closely with the sales and finance departments to align credit policies with business goals.
- Assist in the negotiation of payment terms with customers to ensure timely payment.
- Ensure all credit activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Stay up to date with changes in credit management best practices and legal requirements.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in a managerial role in debtors.
- BCom Accounting or Diploma in Financial Accounting.
- Ability to handle stress and pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Management experience is essential.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel.
