**Job Description**

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced HR professional to lead the Human Resources department at our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, with a focus on compliance, strategy, and organisational development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide strategic guidance and support to the management team on HR-related matters.
* Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labour legislations.
* Lead the development and maintenance of HR systems and processes to promote a positive and productive work environment.
* Manage the HR budget and ensure costs are controlled.
* Provide training and development opportunities to the HR team.
* Implement transformation initiatives to improve organisational performance.
* Negotiate and reach agreements with union officials on various issues impacting the business.
* Manage labour relations matters and ensure record-keeping.
* Support the Training and Development Manager to ensure training interventions are conducted collaboratively.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 3 years National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources.
* 5-8 years' experience in HR at senior management level, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrated ability to handle complex HR cases.
* Ability to analyse and decipher complex information.
* Strong presentation skills.
* Proven track record of managing in a unionised environment.
* Experience in managing at a strategic level.
* Decision-making on complex HR matters.
* Ability to draft negotiated agreements between union and company.

* Proven track record of displaying emotional intelligence.
* Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure.
* Attention to detail is essential.
* Enthusiastic.
* Good and effective communication at all levels.
* Self-starter.

Work Environment:

* This role is based in a manufacturing plant and requires a minimum of four working days per week in the office.
