About the Role

CME Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in aligning human resources strategies with our overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organizational Design
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and maintain effective organizational structures.
    • Assist in updating job descriptions to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Policies and Procedures
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Support the implementation and improvement of HR policies and processes.
  • Selection and Recruitment
    • Manage the entire recruitment process from sign-off to onboarding.
    • Assist in developing job descriptions and ensure vacancies are within budget and appropriate to the position and candidate.
    • Ensure compliance with data management and POPI regulations.
    • Manage financial costs related to criminal and credential checks.
    • Align recruitment activities with our employment equity plan.
    • Maintain compliance with recruitment policies and employment contracts.
    • Assist with development and implementation of recruitment programs and strategies.
  • Industrial Relations/Employee Relations
    • Address employee grievances and provide necessary support.
    • Provide guidance and representation in warning and disciplinary processes.
    • Ensure compliance with the Labour Relations Act (LRA).
  • Performance Management
    • Support managers in handling disciplinary and misconduct issues.
    • Assist in managing poor performance cases.
    • Oversee probation management.
    • Champion the KPI conversations and ensure the Performance Management process is managed effectively.
    • Work with the Training Manager to ensure training requirements develop capacity and competency of current staff complement.
    • Ensure that Onboarding and Probation periods are effectively managed and documented.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or experience in Human Resources with a graduate qualification in business/law/human sciences.
  • Labor Relations certification – may be advantageous.
  • Valid RSA driver's license.
  • Able to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Able to maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • High energy levels and focus.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
