Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our team at SPARK Schools. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students, creating engaging learning experiences, and driving student achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver lessons to students, utilizing the PR1ME Maths curriculum and ensuring that students meet the required proficiency ratings.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with grade level and content area partners to develop rigorous, engaging learning experiences and create individualized behavior and learning plans for all students.
  • Assessment and Data Analysis: Administer weekly and termly assessments to track student progress and analyze data for student growth.
  • Professional Development: Attend pre-service professional development before the school year begins and participate in weekly professional development every Monday afternoon.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: B.Ed. degree or PGCE (Intermediate Phase or Intermediate/Senior Phase) with a Mathematics focus and competency.
  • Certification: Certification through the South African Council of Educators (SACE) and SAQA accreditation for non-South African equivalent qualifications.
  • Language Fluency: English language fluency.
  • Criminal Record: A clear/clean criminal record.
