About the Role

This challenging position involves leading electrical engineering teams on large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the EPCM environment, a strong technical aptitude, and excellent leadership skills. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical design deliverables meet high standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance.

The Electrical Engineer - Project Lead will be part of a dynamic team working on various projects across different sectors. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical engineering teams to deliver high-quality design outputs within tight deadlines.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and innovation in the discipline.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Evaluate and recommend electrical equipment and materials based on industry standards and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, client specifications, and Lycopodium's quality management system.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 15 years of experience in the EPCM environment, preferably in a senior leadership position.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead by example.
