TSU International is a leading provider of security solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Security CCTV Controller to join our team.

The estimated salary for this role is R200,000 - R250,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The Security CCTV Controller will be responsible for ensuring the effective monitoring of surveillance systems, promptly identifying and responding to security incidents, and maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Emergency Response:
  • Contact emergency or relevant service providers as needed.
  • Coordinate with security personnel and emergency responders during incidents.
  • High-Profile Client Protection:
  • Provide specialized monitoring and protection for high-profile residents.
  • Incident Response:
  • Respond promptly to security incidents by reacting to the situation and taking appropriate action.
  • Coordinate with security personnel and responders to address potential threats or breaches.
  • Maintain detailed incident logs and provide accurate and timely reports to the relevant authorities.
  • System Maintenance:
  • Conduct regular checks on surveillance equipment, alarm systems, and vehicle monitoring systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Report any malfunctions, faults, or irregularities to the designated technical support team and control room manager.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of surveillance activities, incidents, and responses.
  • Generate detailed reports for management, summarizing daily activities and incidents.
  • Surveillance Monitoring:
  • Operate and monitor CCTV systems, including Eocortex & Axis, to ensure the continuous observation of designated areas.
  • Detect and analyze suspicious activities or security breaches through surveillance cameras.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Reside either in the Somerset-West, Strand, or Stellenbosch area.
  • Be able to effectively communicate in Afrikaans and English.
  • Work 17h00 to 05h00 hours.
  • Ensure sober habits.

In addition to the requirements above, you must:

  • Possess excellent communication abilities.
  • Effectively communicate with security personnel, law enforcement, and other relevant parties during stressful and intense situations.
  • Remain clear-headed during heated moments and make split-second decisions.
Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of PSIRA grade A security qualification.
  • At least 2 years of control room experience and 2 years of CCTV experience.
