Job Title: Administrative Support Officer
About the Role:
As an Administrative Support Officer within the Legal Services division at Stellenbosch University, you will provide key administrative support to the Head of Student Discipline and other members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support, including scheduling enquiries, arranging meetings, and maintaining accurate records
- Support the compilation of reports, presentations, and other documents
- Manage and maintain electronic and hardcopy filing systems
- Coordinate follow-up actions and assist with the preparation of documentation
- Deal with routine enquiries and provide high-level support to students, staff, and external third parties
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Office Administration or related field
- Between one to two years of relevant experience in supporting senior management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent written and verbal abilities
- Computer literacy in MS Office and web applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in a higher education environment
Language Skills: English (with proficiency in an official South African language other than Afrikaans being beneficial)
