About the Role

Fempower is seeking a highly skilled Senior Agricultural Finance Specialist to join our team. This role will be based in Commercial Banking and Transformation and will play a key part in delivering sustainable financing to farmers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end credit process for Commercial Banking and Transformation (CBT) clients, ensuring that credit risks are adequately assessed, mitigated, and controlled.
  • Collectively approve loans and credit limits under delegated authority within the Regional Credit Committee (RCC), and review transactions for recommendation within delegated authority mandate.
  • Review and present proposals to the Credit Investment Committee (CIC) and full board.
  • Find innovative credit solutions for CBT clients, ensuring that credit risks are adequately assessed, mitigated, and controlled.
  • Co-ordinate Regional Credit Committee (RCC), Provincial Credit Committee (PCC), and Pricing Committee meetings; manage committee processes and adherence to set policies.
Requirements
  • A relevant 3-year qualification (Degree/Diploma e.g. BCom or BTech); BSc Agriculture degree preferable with relevant Agric credit experience.
  • Credit management experience, including commercial credit finance/business banking deal structuring, structured trade and commodity finance, and strong financial and credit analysis and assessment background.
  • Evaluation of existing business restructure and managing turnaround time.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management principles.
  • Knowledge/experience of compliance systems/tools.
  • Compliance management principles.
  • Knowledge of compliance-related legislation.
  • Knowledge of business and law principles.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. Fempower offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
