Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Temperature Screening Specialist to join our team at the Small Enterprise Development Agency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Screen all visitors, contractors, and employees before entering the facility to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Check the temperature of all individuals using a no-contact thermometer.
  • Record results and submit them to the Branch Manager.
  • Enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at facility entrances.
  • Allow or deny entrance into the workplace.
  • Maintain logs of individuals who refuse temperature checks or provide incomplete information.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in COVID-19 training classes.
  • Monitor stock levels for masks and thermometers.

Requirements:

  1. Matric certificate plus a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or Nursing and Paramedicine.
  2. 1-3 years' experience in a medical, office, or facility environment is an advantage.
  3. Ability to start immediately and commit 5 days a week.
  4. Availability to work Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45 and Friday 08:00 to 15:30.
  5. Ability to work in outdoor environments.
  6. Expected to wear PPE, including goggles, gloves, respirator/face mask, and Tyvek suit/coveralls/gown as required.
