Job Opportunity for Experienced Diesel Technicians / Mechanics
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Diesel Technicians / Mechanics to join our team at The Recruitment Guy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing all customer service work, defined assembly/maintenance repairs, and promoting the branch image with reliable and cost-efficient work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual inspections and/or on-board diagnosis during the pre-diagnosis step.
- Receive workshop orders and check their content.
- Find vehicles and drive them to the relevant workshop bay.
- Perform all maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and the maintenance schedule/maintenance computer.
- Identify deviations and unusual wear and tear and initiate additions to order/feedback to customers.
- Reset maintenance systems.
- Replace dismantled parts and prepare their return to the manufacturer if they are parts that are reconditioned.
- Document any work carried out, record working hours, and return workshop orders to the Team Leader/Workshop Controller.
- Pass on vehicles and tidy the workshop bay.
- Retrofit and put into service accessories and mounted parts.
- Request parts as required.
Requirements:
- Trade Tested Diesel Technician/Mechanic.
- Minimum 3-5 years post-trade test experience as a Truck Technician.
- Previous work experience within a Truck Dealership/Commercial Truck Workshop industry/environment.
- Big Commercial Brand truck exposure/experience.
- Mechanical truck skills.
- Truck diagnostics and equipment experience.
- Workshop administration skills.
- Code 14 (advantage).
- Positions available to start ASAP or negotiable.
- Traceable and contactable references.
- Local residency required.
