We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator Specialist to join our team at Turner & Townsend Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and reliable cost estimates for mining projects. This includes developing, reviewing, and agreeing the scope, basis, and methodology of any estimate to be undertaken.

You will be required to review detailed construction estimates from contractors at various stages of the design maturity and provide recommendations.

This role requires a breadth of experience and in-depth knowledge of standard concepts within cost control and cost estimating with a keen focus on data analysis and benchmarking, preferably in the mining environment.

You will work closely with project teams to ensure each project's change management and schedule management is aligned with the standardized WBS and estimating processes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and agree the scope, basis, and methodology of estimates.
  • Review detailed construction estimates and provide recommendations.
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure alignment with standardized processes.
  • Assist in developing high-level conceptual ROM estimates.
  • Support business unit leadership with ad-hoc cost performance studies.
