- Interpret project drawings, specifications, and contracts to develop comprehensive estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
* Source and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
* Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and design teams to optimize project feasibility.
* Ensure that estimates align with industry standards, company policies, and client requirements.
Requirements
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in civil estimating, preferably within a contractor environment.
Technical Expertise:
* Strong understanding of civil construction processes, materials, and pricing structures.
Software Skills:
* Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Candy, CostX, or similar) and MS Office Suite.
