Job Overview

To deliver exceptional customer experiences by providing quick and efficient services to cash customers through staff development and mentoring. Ensure continuous coordination, cash planning, forecasting, and management using nodal optimization tools for effective cash management.

Adhere to regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal policies and standards while understanding and managing risks relevant to the role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of cash and service colleagues to provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures for branch areas according to current procedures.
  • Maintain quality control on note counting equipment using test packs.
  • Determine cash flow within branches and areas, and place cash within other areas as per forecast within Tactix requirements.
  • Ensure timely receipt of cash orders from clients for ATM custodians to replenish ATMs.
  • Maintain end-of-day controls in the cash environment, including bundle checks, account balancing, and cash counts.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures for physical cash and counting at all times.
  • Assist in resolving client queries and complaints within the branch.
  • Manage custodian for ATMs and GBRU, maintaining processes and compliance.
  • Administer RIB foreign exchange, balance listings, and actions on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Effectively manage stock, ordering, and clearance of foreign banknotes (in liaison with International Banking) to ensure customer service delivery and branch limits controls.
  • Minimise operational losses by controlling and managing adherence to control measures to prevent theft and fraud.
  • Monitor and control tasks, procedures, and processes of staff continuously.
  • Ensure positive branch assurance outcome, adhering to cash limits and cash management while controlling expenditure.
  • Cochertain processes and controls that team members execute in their daily work.
  • Provide evidence and supporting documents to auditors or management assurance consultants during reviews.
  • Identify losses due to processing errors or internal fraud in the branch.
  • Ensure team members read Circulars relevant to the area and answer questions they may have.
  • Revoke access to systems and follow necessary procedures to receive keys/PINs.
  • Pack and tag bags under dual control as per policy.
  • Effectively manage cash in the Treasury department.
  • Develop effective working relationships with Strategic Business Units (SBUs) by providing a complete service to customers.
  • Encourage employees to promote alternative delivery solutions channels to customers.
  • Work closely with CBOR and Operational Consultants to maintain the health of business operations.
