Unlock Operational Excellence as a Business Systems and Automation Manager

We're seeking an expert in business systems management and automation to join our team at Somewhere. As a Business Systems and Automation Manager, you'll play a critical role in driving operational efficiency and streamlining processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize Business Systems: Manage and optimize all business systems, including Netsuite, Google Workspace, Shopify, Rippling, Close CRM, and more.
  • Simplify Workflows: Identify and eliminate inefficiencies by implementing automation solutions that save time and effort.
  • Implement New Systems: Lead the implementation of new systems, from gathering user input to training the team on their use.
  • Integrate and Automate: Use tools like Zapier, Integromat, or other low-code platforms to connect software and eliminate manual tasks.
  • Spec Out Custom Development: Spec out small projects for contract developers when custom code is necessary, owning the process from concept to completion.
  • Train the Team: Ensure all employees are up to speed on the systems we use, creating clear processes and documentation to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously research new systems, tools, and best practices for business process automation and bring new ideas to the table.

Requirements:

  • Business Systems Management Experience: Proven experience in managing multiple business systems, ideally across various departments and functions.
  • Automation Expertise: Strong knowledge of automation tools like Zapier, Integromat/Make, Celigo Integrator.io, etc., and the ability to build smart workflows that eliminate manual work.
  • Process and Systems Thinking: Excellent skills in creating processes that make people's lives easier and help the business run more efficiently.
  • Independent Problem-Solving: The ability to diagnose problems, design solutions, and implement them with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent Communication: The capacity to explain technical systems and processes to non-technical team members and ensure alignment.
  • Remote Work Readiness: Self-driven and able to manage time effectively while working remotely.
