The Department of Local Government, Western Cape Government invites a suitably qualified individual to manage and coordinate the implementation of external human rights programmes and special projects.

This role will create an enabling environment for the mainstreaming of human rights concerns such as HIV/AIDS, Gender, Human Trafficking, Youth, Disability and children into the core functions of the Department and all 30 municipalities in the Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To develop and implement strategies for the promotion and protection of human rights
  • To coordinate with stakeholders and partners to ensure effective programme delivery
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field
  • At least 5 years' experience in human rights management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
