The Distribution Operator will be responsible for ensuring the efficient filling of trailers and deliveries to customer sites. They will also perform inspections to ensure all equipment is 100% operational, and conduct preventative maintenance, including daily inspections, servicing, and breakdown repairs. Additionally, they will be responsible for power generation and compression monitoring, meter readings, and gas stock take.
Health & Safety AspectThe Distribution Operator must comply with Company regulation policies and procedures, and understand that they are responsible for their own safety, especially when working with compressed natural gas. They must also comply with safety regulations as set out in the health and safety act, and ensure that the correct PPE equipment and clothing is always worn as specified by SHEQ. Furthermore, they must ensure that all customers and contractors are safe when on site.
Service & MaintenanceThe Distribution Operator will assist with routine repairs and maintenance at all sites under the Projects and Distribution Manager's direction. They will also assist with the maintenance and repairs in the companies/on customer sites and Langlaagte, including the day-to-day activities required in the maintenance of the equipment utilized. Additionally, they will assist with all installations of all equipment and ensure that installations adhere to suppliers' standards as well as prescribed South African and International standards and Acts.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a Matric with Mathematics or Science, a National diploma in Industrial/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, and a minimum of 1 year experience. They must also have experience on pneumatics, hydraulics, instrumentation, mechanical, and electrical systems, as well as hands-on technical experience working with pneumatics, hydraulic, instrumentation, and electrical systems. Natural gas experience will be an advantage.
