Job Title: Supply Chain and Procurement Manager

Telebest is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain and Procurement Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for managing the company's procurement activities, developing and implementing procurement strategies, and ensuring the effective management of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement a national procurement strategy for commodities, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Vendor Management: Manage and implement vendor assessments and performance frameworks, ensuring that our suppliers meet our quality and service standards.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze and optimize our transportation and logistics processes, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and improving efficiency.
  • Procurement Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes to ensure all procurement activities are conducted in a transparent and compliant manner.
  • Team Management: Manage and develop the procurement resources at branch level, ensuring that our team has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements:
  • Education: Relevant tertiary degree or diploma, with a postgraduate qualification in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management being advantageous.
  • Experience: 8+ years of procurement experience in the manufacturing industry at a managerial level, with knowledge of technical purchasing parameters and international procurement practices and principles.
  • Skills: Advanced MS Office Package skills, with Pastel or Glasspro experience being advantageous.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of BBBEE procurement scorecard and import/export, sea freight & airfreight regulations.
