About the Role:
This is a senior position that requires a high level of expertise in fire safety and mechanical building services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing fire safety solutions, including firefighting equipment, smoke evacuation systems, stair pressurization systems, and fire sprinkler systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement fire safety solutions for clients
- Manage small and medium-sized projects with minimal guidance
- Contribute to large projects within a fire design management team
- Attend client meetings, site inspections, and surveys
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical building services
- Minimum 5 years experience in SANS deemed-to-satisfy and rational fire safety design
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
- Experience in thermal modeling is advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualification:
BTech/BEng in Mechanical Engineering
