Job Description:
  • Pre-Shift Preparations:
    • On-duty personnel must be assigned tasks and select suitable locomotives, ensuring all necessary equipment is present.
    • Carry out pre-shift inspections to verify train preparedness and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Train Handling and Shunting:
    • Undertake shunting activities following established protocols, emphasizing the importance of safety.
    • Participate in tasks such as attaching/detaching vehicles and updating train lists, enhancing train movement efficiency.
  • Incident Response and Compliance:
    • React swiftly and appropriately in emergency situations, safeguarding the train and its occupants.
    • Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations, reporting any discrepancies or incidents promptly.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Accurately document train-related data, submitting reports to the Section Manager.
