We are seeking a talented and experienced leader to join our team as the Senior Director: University Relations.

About the Role

This is a pivotal leadership position that requires strong strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of public relations principles.

The successful candidate will develop and implement comprehensive university relations strategies that align with our mission, vision, and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing communication plans to engage stakeholders, build relationships, and enhance the university's reputation.
  • Advising senior leadership on public relations and communication issues, providing expert counsel on potential impacts to our reputation.
  • Maintaining robust partnerships with government bodies, higher education industry partners, and non-profit organisations to advocate for policies and initiatives that support higher education.

**Qualifications and Experience**

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum academic qualification.
  • At least ten years of proven experience in strategic public relations, stakeholder relations, communication, or marketing.
  • Seven to ten years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful public relations strategies.
  • Strong government and community partnerships.

The appointment is for a 5-year contract term, subject to performance.
