Job Title: Rigger - Mining

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a skilled Rigger to join their mining company in the North-West region. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient rigging and lifting of equipment and materials within the mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and prepare rigging equipment for lifting operations.
  • Coordinate with operators and ground crew to ensure lifts are executed safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct risk assessments and follow established safety protocols during rigging operations.
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections on rigging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all rigging activities and equipment usage.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior riggers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Rigger Trade Test Certificate
  • N3/N4 Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years' experience in the mining industry
  • Extensive experience in gold mining
  • Experience in both underground and opencast mining
