We are seeking a skilled Meat Industry Operations Supervisor to join our team in East London. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team and drive business growth in a dynamic industry.

Overview:

Our client is a leading recruitment agency specializing in the meat industry. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our East London facility, ensuring smooth execution of tasks, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Inventory management: Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize stock levels, optimize ordering, and ensure a consistent supply of fresh products.
  • Safety and sanitation: Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our team members and customers.
  • Customer service: Foster strong relationships with our customers, addressing their concerns, and providing exceptional service to drive loyalty and retention.
  • Training: Design and deliver training programs to educate our team members on proper packaging techniques, ensuring they have the skills to excel in their roles.
  • Product quality: Collaborate with our production team to maintain product quality, ensure accurate labeling and pricing, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Sales: Work closely with our sales managers to identify opportunities to increase sales, develop strategies to drive revenue growth, and analyze market trends.
  • Staff management: Supervise and train administrative staff, providing guidance and support to help them excel in their roles.
  • Time management: Effectively manage your time to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure the smooth operation of our facility.
  • Profit and pricing: Analyze retail pricing and sales data to inform pricing decisions, optimize profit margins, and drive business growth.
  • Machinery operation: Safely operate specialized butcher's machinery, ensuring efficient production and minimizing downtime.
  • Weighing: Accurately weigh products, adhering to quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in meat industry operations, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, safety and sanitation, and customer service principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions.
  • Proficiency in operating specialized butcher's machinery and ensuring accurate product weighing.
What We Offer:
