Job Opportunity: Renewable Energy Specialist

Salary: R800,000 - R1,200,000 per annum

Location: South Africa

The Legends Agency is seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Specialist to join our dynamic team in South Africa.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional to oversee the installation and commissioning of wind turbine generator equipment, including wind turbines, towers, and blades. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing regular maintenance plans, conducting routine checks, and identifying and resolving equipment issues to ensure efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and commission wind turbine generator equipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and implement regular maintenance plans to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Conduct routine checks and inspections to identify potential issues and resolve them promptly.
  • Manage project-related documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and progress reports.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning processes for wind turbines or energy storage systems.
  • Ability to guide and supervise installation teams, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards.
  • Clear understanding of quality control requirements for wind turbine (or energy storage) installation and commissioning.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working on wind power (or energy storage) projects, with preference for those experienced in Envision turbines or with overseas project experience.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
