Varsity College is a prominent educational institution under The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), recognized for its leadership in private higher education in South Africa. The IIE is accredited by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to offer higher education qualifications endorsed by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).

The IIE Varsity College, Sandton Campus is currently looking for qualified individuals in the field of Commerce to enhance the teaching and research capabilities within the Faculty of Management Studies for the following academic role:

  • Copywriting

Job Purpose:

The main objective of this role is to provide effective teaching and facilitation on academic qualifications, alongside engaging in all related academic activities that foster student success and learning.

  • Lecturing and Facilitation

  • Student Support and Engagement

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Preferred:

  • An honours degree or diploma in Information Systems/Computer Science with Marketing up to a second-year level.

Alternatively:

  • An Honours degree in a related business field (e.g., Business Management, Supply Chain Management) with completion of Information Technology modules up to a first-year level;

or

  • An honours degree in Marketing with completion of Information Technology modules up to a first-year level;

or

  • An Honours degree in Web Programming and Marketing obtained during undergraduate studies.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

  • Preferred additional competencies include: industry experience in commerce.
  • Experience in lecturing Marketing/Entrepreneurship/Supply Chain/Project Management.
  • Professional experience as an entrepreneur/project manager/supply chain manager.
  • Project management experience in marketing or the development of marketing strategies or tools.

Working Conditions:

  • This is an Independent Contractor position.
