About The Job

The primary objective of this position is to develop and implement the architectural design of solutions to support business goals and to ensure alignment of business and information technology (IT) at a solution level within the Organization.

Detailed Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

  1. Develop Solution Architectures: Develop solution architectures for different projects and govern the end-to-end delivery of solutions to business.
  2. Combine Domain Architectures: Combine various domain (business, data, application and technology) architectural as-is (baseline) and to-be (target) models with road maps to create an overall solution architecture and road map with the supporting transition architectures.
  3. Collaborate with Lead Solution Architect: Collaborate with the Lead Solution Architect and ensure alignment between the enterprise architecture, solution architecture, architecture principles as well as information and communication technology (ICT) standards to ensure standardization and reduce risk.
  4. Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that the solutions implemented match the architectural designs (quality control).
  5. Contribute to Evaluation Criteria: Contribute to the development of evaluation criteria for product evaluations, requests for information (RFIs) and requests for a proposal (RFPs).
  6. Assist in Product Evaluation: Assist the Lead Solution Architect in evaluating products and partners based on evaluation criteria, RFIs and RFPs.
  7. Advance ICT Standards: Contribute to advancing ICT standards and the optimization of the ICT facilities in the Organization.
Job Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

  1. Qualifications: A BCom degree in Informatics, a BSc degree in Computer Science or Engineering as well as industry-specific qualifications.
  2. Experience: At least 6–8 years' experience in application analysis, architecture, design, enterprise architecture and/or solution architecture.

  5. ICT Industry Standards: ICT industry standards knowledge and skill.
  6. Cloud Virtualization: Cloud virtualization knowledge and skill.
  7. Architect Principles: Architect Principles, views and viewpoints design knowledge and skill.
  8. Architecture Frameworks: The use of architecture frameworks and methods, such as the open group architecture framework (TOGAF), application data management (ADM).
  9. Architecture Notations: Architecture notations knowledge and skill, such as ArchiMate 3, unified modelling language (UML) and business process model and notations (BPMN).
  10. Solution Modelling: Solution modelling and benefits analysis knowledge and skill.
