Job Summary

FirstRand Bank Limited seeks a highly skilled and experienced Software Release Manager to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing software changes and releases, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and ensuring minimal impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a release management process that adheres to best practice frameworks and ensures standardized methods and procedures.
  2. Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations, ensuring timely and continuous communication on progress and challenges.
  3. Coordinate with technology and resourcing vendors, ensuring seamless communication, meetings, documentation, and invoicing.
  4. Oversee the full Systems Development Life Cycle for all changes across supported channels and systems.
  5. Plan and manage work scheduling processes, ensuring effective utilization of internal and external resources.
  6. Prepare and manage daily scrum and change advisory board sessions, ensuring stakeholder participation and meeting release cut-off dates.

Requirements

  1. Relevant qualifications and 3-5 years of experience in a similar environment.
  2. Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  4. Experience with software development life cycles and release management processes.
