Job Description: As the Release Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of software products and services at Planet10. Your role will involve overseeing the release process, from planning and testing to deployment and maintenance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that releases meet business objectives and quality standards.



  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years of leadership/management experience in an IT environment.
  • Service Management: Proven experience in service management, with a focus on ITIL v3 or v4.
  • Change and Release Process: Strong understanding of change and release processes, including data analytics and reporting.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and teams.
  • Cloud Certification: Cloud certification and practices are advantageous.
  • People Management: Experience in people management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent management, succession planning, pay reward, and retention of staff.
  • Coaching and Upskilling: Ability to provide coaching and upskilling of staff to enable strategy.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage assigned deliveries effectively.
  • Structured Methodologies: Ability to apply structured methodologies and lead activities across release and change management.
  • Scheduling and Dependencies: Experience in scheduling releases and changes, managing dependencies, and ensuring co-existence across teams and suppliers.
  • Clear Communication: Ability to provide clear and effective communication between teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders in business.
  • Quality Standards: Strong understanding of quality standards and assessments, with the ability to ensure that all releases and changes meet these standards.
  • Continuous Service: Ability to ensure continuous service to clients through developing, implementing, evaluating, and improving processes.
  • Change Advisory Board: Experience in leading a change advisory board and managing a forward schedule of changes across the Bank and Suppliers for all core services.
  • Process Improvement: Ability to continually work towards making improvements in the release and change processes.
  • Go-Live Activities: Experience in leading and co-ordinating go-live activities, including the execution of deployment plans and checklists.
  • Reporting and Communication: Ability to provide reporting and communication relating to change and release management.
  • Technologies and Best Practices: Strong understanding of technologies, solution landscapes, and international best practices.
