The Director of Student Governance and Development will provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Department of Student Governance and Development, driving holistic student life and development.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Management
- Provide leadership in the management of student life and governance, ensuring effective and efficient operations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive student leadership development programs, fostering growth and engagement.
- Manage student media and engagement initiatives, promoting a positive and inclusive campus culture.
- Ensure effective financial management, aligning resources with departmental goals.
- Strategically manage human resources, promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Drive policy development and monitoring, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Promote research and knowledge management, informing strategic decisions and initiatives.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A relevant Honours Degree or equivalent
- At least 6-10 years of relevant working experience in a public or development sector
- At least 6 years of experience in middle/senior management
- A Master's Degree, with knowledge of and experience in higher education, an added advantage
