Role Summary

The successful candidate will report to the Regional Manager and be responsible for maintaining and growing a panel of Financial Advisers in the KwaZulu Natal region. They will be expected to achieve certain sales targets as determined by the Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and develop relationships with IFAs and their support staff.
  2. Maintain and grow business flows from designated IFA panels.
  3. Ensure IFAs have a deep understanding of Allan Gray's philosophy and long-term goals.
  4. Promote Allan Gray products and services to IFAs.
  5. Train IFAs on Allan Gray systems and processes.
  6. Distribute and supply marketing collateral to IFAs.
  7. Present to IFAs and clients as required.
  8. Coordinate IFA presentations.
  9. Maintain high standards of service excellence for all Allan Gray Financial Advisers and Clients.
  10. Identify industry trends and opportunities for growth.

Operations and Administration

  1. Manage and develop existing relationships with IFAs.
  2. Maintain and grow business flows from designated IFA panels.
  3. Ensure IFAs understand Allan Gray's philosophy and promote its products and services.
  4. Provide training to IFAs on Allan Gray systems and processes.
  5. Present to IFAs and clients as required.
  6. Maintain records of management information for IFA practices.
  7. Develop and maintain strategic and business plans.
  8. Solve and manage queries on an ongoing basis.
  9. Report progress against targets and tracking of business plan objectives.
  10. Advise the Regional Manager on any incidents compromising Allan Gray's values.
  11. Arrange visits by the Regional Manager to IFA panels.
  12. Evaluate the effectiveness of IFA panels.
  13. Liaise with relevant persons at Allan Gray head office.
  14. Maintain a portfolio of evidence for presentation purposes.

Requirements

  1. Ideal candidate should have experience in client service or distribution within financial services, along with leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills.
  2. Should be self-motivated, action-oriented, and resilient.
  3. Should have a friendly and diplomatic nature, sufficient maturity to speak confidently to intermediaries and clients.
  4. High personal integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
  5. Should be able to cope with shifting priorities while ensuring conformity with processes and rules.
  6. Job requires someone emotionally mature, energetic, flexible, self-managed, self-motivated, action-oriented, and team environment.
  7. Passion for people, use initiative, and willing to go the extra mile.
  8. Ability to work under stress, retaining composure and focus.

Qualifications

A relevant business degree with CFP qualification would be advantageous.
