Job Title: Resident Engineer - Construction Monitoring and Quality Management

Role Summary:

As a Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring construction activities and ensuring that projects remain within budget and comply with specifications. You will work closely with the Contracts Engineer to coordinate sub-consultants, report progress, and administer contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with specifications and budget
  • Coordinate sub-consultants and report progress to the Contracts Engineer
  • Administer contracts and ensure timely submission of progress reports and payment certificates
  • Implement and adhere to quality management and quality control procedures
  • Monitor site health and safety and environmental compliance
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress reports and as-built drawings
  • Communicate proactively with the Contracts Engineer and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • 10 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in water treatment works
  • Professional registration with ECSA (PrEng) Essential
  • Experience with ISO19650 standards and BIM implementation
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
