The Role: SOC Analyst Level 2
We seek an experienced and detail-oriented SOC Analyst to join our 24x7 Security Operations Center team in South Africa. As part of a global team, you will contribute to the growth and development of our Cybersecurity Services Team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for incident response and monitoring security events.
- Gathering threat intelligence to enhance detection methods against current threats.
- Monitoring alert queues, responding to security alerts, and managing incidents through to resolution.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to investigate, remediate, and clean up after security incidents.
- Preparing detailed intelligence reports on findings, status, and progress of investigations.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- Extensive experience working in a SOC or CSIRT environment.
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems across Windows and Linux.
- Strong networking skills and ability to manage third-party relationships.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A strong analytical mindset with the capacity to assess cyber risks and develop mitigation plans.
