We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biomedical Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine testing functions in blood banks, including compatibility, post-natal, and preliminary transfusion reaction investigations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SOPs and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to interact effectively with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine testing functions in blood banks, including compatibility, post-natal, and preliminary transfusion reaction investigations.
  • Check and verify test results performed by registered technicians, trainee technicians, and student technologists.
  • Assist supervisors with training and competency assessments.
  • Monitor equipment and instrumentation to ensure they are in working order.

Requirements
  • HPCSA Registered Biomedical Technician/Technologist (Blood Transfusion).
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
