About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at FirstRand Bank Limited. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project resources, including people, systems, time, and budget, to deliver project goals and objectives.
  • Create project plans through collaboration with team members.
  • Lead project team meetings and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Track tasks, resources, and timelines to ensure project progress and identify potential issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Provide optimal services and improve service delivery processes to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Lead indirect teams and provide guidance on process and performance standards.
  • Manage project quality and ensure compliance with predefined quality standards, procedures, and project plans.
  • Implement and use governance and compliance procedures and processes to identify and manage risks.
  • Contribute to the development of project budgets and control and report on budgeted resources.
  • Assist with the creation of change management plans and implement these to maximize adoption and minimize resistance.
  • Compile and maintain relevant project documentation to support project delivery and comply with audit requirements.
  • Compile reports to track progress and guide business decision-making.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve issues promptly to enhance effective client service delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualification: Completed relevant undergraduate degree or diploma.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management.
  • Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Preferred qualification: Project management accreditation or certification.
  • CAPM, PRINCE 2.

  • Time management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
