Product Development Manager

At Execustaff, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Development Manager to lead our Product Development Department in achieving company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Execute Product Development Strategy: Develop and execute the Product Development strategy for new and existing product ranges, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Optimise Product Cost and Quality: Optimise product cost and improve product quality both internally and in conjunction with external suppliers.
- Project Management: Monitor team projects / activities to achieve strategic objectives, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
- Supplier Evaluation: Perform evaluations of new materials and suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Engineering Change Process: Manage the Engineering Change Process, ensuring seamless implementation and minimal disruption to production.
- Team Leadership: Lead projects with multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and driving results.
- Problem-Solving: Conduct FMEA studies and address issues raised, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal impact on production.
- Test and Inspection: Develop test methods and perform product testing for approval, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Documentation and Compliance: Manage all information, documentation, drawings related to the department in accordance with company policies and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Thermodynamic Test Laboratory: Manage the thermodynamic test laboratory, interpreting test results and providing solutions for improvement.
- Support to Production: Provide support to production with product / process / quality / equipment related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production.
- Regulatory Compliance: Keep abreast of regulatory specifications and ensure product compliance, ensuring minimal risk and optimal business outcomes.
- Financial Management: Develop department budget, project & capital expenses, ensuring alignment with company financial objectives.
- Approval of Purchases: Approval of purchases, ensuring compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Education: BSc / BTech / BEng Mechanical Engineering, CAD, Solid Works is an advantage.
- Experience: 5+ years manufacturing environment experience, 2+ years at management level or 4+ years leading multidisciplinary teams projects.
- Skills: People Leadership, Project Management, Design for manufacturing principles, Lean manufacturing principles, Cost based approach, Problem-solving techniques, Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
