Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and greet guests in a professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression for our restaurant.
  • Effectively manage reservations, seating arrangements, and table availability to meet guest expectations.
  • Provide menus and ensure guests are comfortable and satisfied with their seating, promoting a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Monitor the dining room and communicate with servers and kitchen staff to maintain a smooth service flow.
  • Manage waitlists during busy periods and keep guests informed of estimated wait times, maintaining transparency and trust.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns efficiently and professionally, resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist with phone reservations, special requests, and handling takeaway orders as needed, providing alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Maintain the front-of-house area clean, organized, and visually appealing, reflecting the high standards of IntelliStaff.
  • Support other front-of-house team members during peak hours, ensuring seamless service and a positive experience for our guests.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a hostess or customer service role is beneficial but not required, as we provide comprehensive training and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, friendly demeanor, are essential for success in this role.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are crucial for managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest requests.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with grace, maintaining a professional composure in challenging situations.
  • Professional appearance and a customer-focused attitude are vital for representing IntelliStaff and providing exceptional service to our guests.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, ensuring our restaurant remains open and accessible to our guests.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems is a bonus, but training will be provided to ensure our team members are equipped to manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
