Outbound Sales Representative

Role Overview:

As an Outbound Sales Consultant at abc, you will be responsible for selling insurance products telephonically and achieving sales targets and objectives. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Selling insurance products (car and household) over the phone
  • Achieving sales targets and objectives
  • Ensuring adherence to quality and compliance processes to minimize business risk
  • Managing quality and compliance against benchmarks to minimize business risk, with the client in mind
  • Maintaining optimal operational efficiencies based on productivity measures
  • Adapting to changing business operational requirements
  • Resolving complaints and objections
  • Building and maintaining good client relationships
  • Staying up-to-date with new products, rate changes, rulings, training updates, and industry trends

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 qualification
  • At least 1.5 years' experience in a sales outbound call centre or 2 years' face-to-face sales experience with targets attached
  • Financial services experience is advantageous
  • RE 5 (Regulatory Exam) qualification
  • 30 FAIS Credits (Short-term Insurance) or equivalent
  • CPD Points
  • Recognized Qualification (NQF 5 Wealth Management)

Desirable Skills:

  • Good understanding of Financial Services Industry related legislation and regulation
  • Understanding of sales processes and servicing industry
  • Outbound Sales experience
  • Fluency in English and one other South African official language
  • A clear criminal and credit record
  • Commitment to the FAIS Act and meeting Fit & Proper qualification requirements
  • Willingness to work overtime
