Job Title: Retail Security Officer

At TSU International, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Security Officer to join our team. As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our customers, employees, and assets within the retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Security Monitoring and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the security premises to monitor for suspicious activities, theft, or vandalism. Utilize security equipment such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems to maintain a secure environment.
  • Loss Prevention: Implement and enforce loss prevention measures to minimize shrinkage and theft within the store. Perform bag checks and monitor customer exits to deter theft and ensure adherence to store policies.
  • Customer and Staff Assistance: Provide assistance and guidance to customers and employees regarding security-related concerns or inquiries. Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor while interacting with customers and staff.
  • Emergency Response: Act swiftly and decisively during emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches. Coordinate with emergency services and management to ensure appropriate responses and resolution.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of previous retail security guarding experience
  • PSIRA Grade C
  • Matric certificate is preferred, but not essential
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and write in English
  • Must reside in the areas of Strand and Grabouw
  • Must be in a physical healthy condition (no underlying medical conditions)
