Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality maths lessons to students from grade 1-12. You will need to create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

Collaboration and Teamwork

As a member of our maths department, you will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide maths initiatives. You will also participate in regular professional development sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices in maths education.

Assessment and Feedback

You will be responsible for assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to help them improve. You will also use data analysis to inform your teaching practice and make data-driven decisions to drive student achievement.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement

You will communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure that everyone is informed and engaged. You will also represent the school at community events and provide support to parents and guardians as needed.

Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience

We require a B.Ed. degree or PGCE in maths education, with a strong focus on content knowledge and pedagogy. Recently qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.

Certification and Registration

You must be certified through the South African Council of Educators (SACE) and hold a valid teaching permit.

Language Proficiency

You must have excellent language proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Criminal Record Clearance

You must undergo a thorough background check and obtain a clean criminal record clearance.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package of R20,808.00 per month, plus benefits such as performance-based bonuses, annual leave, life insurance, disability cover, and employee wellness support. We also provide opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Location

This position is based at our Riversands campus in Gauteng, with easy access to major highways and public transportation.
