The RoleWe are seeking a dynamic English Home Language Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behavior, and academic growth for all scholars.
Responsibilities- Plan, teach, and co-teach face-to-face and distance lessons to deliver academic and extracurricular programs.
- Collaborate with grade-level and content-area partners to develop engaging learning experiences and implement individualized behavior and learning plans for scholars.
- Participate actively in professional development sessions and contribute to the implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Analyze scholar data to track progress and make informed decisions to support student growth.
- Lead scholar social and emotional development through character quotient sessions and reflections.
- Develop and monitor programs to support low-performing scholars or extend opportunities for high-achieving scholars.
- Participate in place-based education initiatives and career pathways education to promote scholar culture and character development.
- Implement behavior management strategies to foster a positive work environment and promote SPARK Schools' values.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- English language fluency.
- A completed B.Ed or PGCE degree in English Senior Phase or English Home Language FET.
- SACE registration.
- A clear/clean criminal record.

This position offers a competitive salary of R255,000 per annum (R25,500 per month) based on location and experience. The salary may be negotiable depending on qualifications and performance.
LocationThis role is available at one of our locations in Riversands, Rivonia, or Midrand, Gauteng Province. We have three schools: SPARK Riversands High, SPARK Rivonia High, and SPARK Midrand High.
