We are seeking a skilled Business Risk Manager to join our team at Standard Bank of South Africa Limited.

In this role, you will be responsible for analysing, monitoring and delivering on key critical risk, compliance, and regulatory controls within the PPB Client Coverage Insurance business unit.

You will implement and manage requirements and business controls related to market conduct legislation, enabling Standard Bank Insurance Brokers to comply with legislation such as Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS).

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • a thorough understanding of risk management principles and practices
  • general insurance experience within SBIB/PPB
  • knowledge of market conduct legislation

A minimum of 3-4 years exposure to compliance and risk management, especially within front line activities, is required.

You will also have a strong understanding of the bank's systems, products, processes, and procedures.
