Responsibilities

  • Install, implement, and maintain network hardware and cabling.
  • Detect and resolve Layer 1-3 network issues.
  • Maintain and upgrade network, WiFi, firewall, and security systems.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, ISPs, and vendors.
  • Document and report work progress and issues.

Requirements

You'll need a strong understanding of network fundamentals and hands-on experience with routers, switches, and access points. Familiarity with firewalls, network security, and VPN configurations is essential. Ability to monitor network health using tools like PRTG, Zabbix, or SolarWinds is a must. Soft skills include being a team player, problem solver, detail-oriented, time manager, and customer-centric.

Certifications and Experience

CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or MikroTik MTCNA certifications are a plus. 1-3 years of experience in network engineering, IT support, or system administration is preferred.
