Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuary to join our Group Risk team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building out SanlamAllianz Life Group Risk product support, including developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, providing group risk pricing support, and ensuring effective engagement on group risk product matters within SanlamAllianz Life portfolio businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support local SanlamAllianz businesses with strategies to scale group risk portfolios profitably
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in local businesses
  • Provide group risk pricing support and governance, experience rating, and technical marketing
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Sanlam Corporate in South Africa to stay close and apply best of class practices around group risk products across the SanlamAllianz Life portfolio
  • Work closely with SanlamAllianz Life Distribution support function and develop innovative solutions for new market segments and multinational clients
  • Collaborate with SanlamAllianz Life Operations team to develop an experience rating capability aimed at establishing and maintaining a competitive and profitable pricing framework
  • Collaborate with SanlamAllianz Life Reporting team to ensure correct reporting of group risk products
Requirements
  • Qualified actuary with a strong preference for experience in group risk pricing
  • Experience of group life insurance products would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent people skills to manage relationships with business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines
  • Self-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and hold oneself and others accountable
