Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our team at Network International in Mauritius. The COO will play a key role in driving the company's growth and success by overseeing daily operations, leading employees, and making strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the bank, including IT, HR, Regulatory Compliance, Customer Service, and other departments.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication, evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics, and manage relationships with partners/vendors.
  • Financial Oversight: Assist CEO in fundraising ventures, participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.), and manage the operational budget and perform regular financial analysis to maintain cost-efficiency.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and standards, develop and implement risk management strategies, and oversee regulatory reporting, frequently liaising with regulatory bodies.
  • Customer Focus: Enhance customer satisfaction through the improvement of service delivery, develop strategies to expand the customer base and increase customer engagement.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs, translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth.
Requirements:
  • Education: Masters Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the banking industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role, proven experience as a COO or in other managerial positions, experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles, familiarity with Tanzanian banking regulations and compliance, excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills, aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving, strong leadership and organizational abilities, effective communication and people skills.
