Socio Economic Analyst

The Socio Economic Specialist will conduct comprehensive analyses of socio-economic trends and policies to provide strategic insights and recommendations. This role will involve collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to assess the impact of socio-economic initiatives and develop effective strategies for sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on socio-economic indicators to inform policy-making and program development.
- Analyse data trends to identify areas of improvement and develop effective strategies for sustainable development.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on socio-economic conditions to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with governmental and non-governmental entities to formulate socio-economic policies that promote sustainable development.
- Evaluate existing policies and recommend improvements based on research findings to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Facilitate workshops and focus groups with community stakeholders to ensure understanding and buy-in for recommendations.
- Present findings to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of recommendations.
- Oversee socio-economic projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
- Monitor project progress and impact, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
- Train and mentor team members and stakeholders on socio-economic analysis and research methodologies to build capacity and expertise.
- Develop toolkits and resources to support community capacity building and promote sustainable development.
- Master's Degree (M.A., M.S., or MBA) or PhD in Economics, Sociology, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in socio-economic research and analysis.
- Proven track record of working with diverse stakeholders, including government, NGOs, and community organizations.
- Experience in project management and policy development.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and research methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
