Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels in the PPE store and pallet pool, ensuring adherence to established processes with PPE and pallet systems. They will also conduct monthly reconciliations of PPE and pallets, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory levels in the PPE store and pallet pool
  • Ensure adherence to established processes with PPE and pallet system
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of PPE and pallets
  • Maintain accurate master data for PPE
  • Oversee departmental attendance and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Manage follow-ups on disputes and forced pallet documents
  • Facilitate daily ordering of pallets, track returns and credits, and process invoices efficiently
  • Ensure timely availability of goods to meet operational needs (PPE & Pallets)

Requirements:

  • Matric and/or equivalent qualification, and a degree qualification in either accounting or procurement, supply chain/logistics
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a planning or procurement role in FMCG/manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in stock reconciliations, figure-oriented, and ability to investigate and solve problems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of ERP, Business Central (BC), and Chep portfolio system
