Job Summary

TWK Agri is seeking a seasoned Financial Director to lead the Grain Division's financial strategy and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing financial plans, managing budgets, and providing financial insights to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Strategic Planning: Provide effective leadership and mentorship to the finance team, and collaborate with the Group Finance team to analyse opportunities and acquisitions from a financial perspective.
  2. Financial Planning and Budgeting: Assist with the development and oversight of financial plans and budgets for the Grain division, and collaborate with key stakeholders to establish financial targets and performance metrics aligned with organisational goals.
  3. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and analysis to provide insights into the Grain division's financial performance and trends.
  4. Cost Analysis and Control: Conduct cost analysis to identify key cost drivers and optimise operational expenses across the division, and implement cost control measures to improve efficiency and profitability.
  5. Compliance and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with the Grain division through effective risk management practices, and maintain an effective risk and internal control environment.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  2. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g. CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA).
  3. Master's degree (advantageous).
  4. 7 – 10 years of proven experience in financial management, preferably in the Agri industry.
  5. 3 – 5 years experience in a leadership role.
  6. Previous experience in financial reporting, operating cost, working capital, and capital expenditure management.
  7. Advanced financial management, tax, and related legislation knowledge.
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Bilingual (Afrikaans and English).
