  • Oversee biodiversity, conservation, and environmental management initiatives.
  • Lead safety and security efforts, ensuring a secure environment for staff and visitors.
  • Manage assets, including infrastructure, equipment, and resources.
  • Provide financial oversight, ensuring effective budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement leadership and human resources strategies, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including local communities and partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nature Conservation, Environmental Management, or a related field. An MSc or Master's in Conservation or a related field is preferred.
  • At least years of experience in a similar role managing a large, protected area within a Big 5 Reserve environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, including NEMPAA, NEMBA, NEMA, POPIA, and Tourism legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including ARC and QGIS.
  • Advanced report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing protected areas and their link to community and socio-economic projects.
  • Certified in handgun and self-loading rifle use, with practical firearms handling experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
