Job Overview

About You
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Improvement Engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering or a related technical field. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-5 years' experience in administration, problem-solving, and fault-finding skills, with excellent communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities
As a Process Improvement Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining and improving product processes to ensure effective startups and sustained plastic manufacturing production operations
• Gathering data, analyzing trends, and identifying areas for improvement to support engineering projects and plastic production
• Monitoring machine reliability, ensuring product quality, controlling waste, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Identifying and resolving process-related issues and proposing solutions to improve efficiency
• Training teams on best practices and assisting in implementing new systems or software to enhance productivity
• Managing inventory of technical supplies and equipment, ordering materials as needed for daily use or projects
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, and reporting safety hazards or incidents

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a related field
• Strong administration, problem-solving, and fault-finding skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively
• Solid understanding of technical drawings and equipment testing
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety (H&S) practices and safe working procedures
• Technical expertise in processes, including equipment, raw materials, moulds, and downstream systems
• Familiarity with relevant quality systems and certifications
• Ability to make quick, decisive actions in urgent situations
• High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
